E.J. Gold is a jazz musician who paints monumental canvasses for jazz concert installations, such as Wynton Marsalis, Toots Thielemans, and Oscar Peterson, Marian McPartland and others; and for the International Association for Jazz Educations' [IAJE's]concert stages in Toronto, New York and Long Beach.
His Jazz Greats portraits travelled across the United States with the Harlem Renaissance show and have appeared at Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Hollywood Bowl.
His portrait of Herbie Hancock is in the collection of the National Gallery.
